I love that ESU is a place anyone can call home. It is welcoming and inclusive to all, giving everyone a chance to pursue their passions. Most importantly, ESU is overflowing with a community both genuine and supportive. This university has put some of the most wonderful people in my path... It is these relationships that make ESU so special.

Anita Valdez

Hometown: La Paz, Bolivia
Major: Double major in communication and sociology with a minor in journalism

I love ESU because being almost 4000 miles away from home is difficult and ESU has been a great support for me during the last four years. The community has made me always feel welcome, professors care genuinely about me, and I made the best friends I could ever ask that have become my family.  ESU has also helped me reconnect with my roots when I learned about their Hispanic organization HALO and felt I belonged and was not alone.
